Dogs Under the Dinner Table

the more i learn about people, the more i like my dog. mark twainIf you have children and you have dogs, then you’re familiar with the symbiotic relationship they have with each other at the dining room table. The kids sit and eat, the dogs sit and wait. Meal after meal, day after day.

It doesn’t matter how long or boring the wait is under the table, the dogs understand it’s a place where patience is rewarded. Giving up is not an option.

Most things worthwhile require “the wait;” the monotonous, repetitious, non-glamorous enthusiastic patience of the dogs under the dinner table. Giving up is not an option.
